  43. PLEASE READ the document carefully!  Everything you need to be running
  44. a multinode Wildcat BBS under DESQview in less than two hours is included
  45. in this .ZIP file; BUT none the information and template .BAT files will
  46. do you any good if you don't Read the *entire* MNODE.DOC file.

  48. You Must edit all the .TMP sample files to suit your individual BBS's
  49. needs.  There is simply no way I can write a .BAT file that is going to
  50. work on every BBS installation out there.

  52. In particular, all the .TMP sample batch files ASSUME the following:
  53.  
  54. 1) You are running the BBS from drive C:\
  55.  
  56. 2) You installed Wildcat and DESQview into the Default Directories
  57.    recommended by the installer programs.
  58.  
  59. In any case, be SURE you edit all the .TMP files to properly work for

  70. If your system is running fine under the files from previous version of
  71. MNODE.DOC, there is No Reason what so ever to "upgrade" to the new
  72. version of MNODE!  Feel free to review the newer version as you find the
  73. time, but be assured that if your system is working well for you, there
  74. are no big "benefits" to be gained by "fixing" your already working BBS
  75. by using the newer MNODE version.

  77. HOWEVER:  If you have had problems getting your BBS to run under DV using
  78. an older version of MNODE, perhaps some of the rewritten text and batch 
  79. files will help you make the "connection" to the multi-node world.

  83. 1.5   Continued to incorporate changes recommended by other sysops.  In
  84.       particular, Kim VanLandingham's excellent critique' of MNODE14 was
  85.       instrumental in helping me iron out some rough areas.

  99. 1.4   Major Tweaks!  Fixed 2 genuine BUGS and clarified some of the
  100.       text regarding the NODEx.UP tag files.  Added NODE.TAG to the 
  101.       included files.

  103. 1.3   Fixed some typos, cleaned up the .TMP's with better comments.

  105. 1.2   Added ALT-WAY1.ZIP, a collection of alternative .TMP files and
  106.       discussions with Jeff Mefford.  We discuss some proposed changes
  107.       to some of the .TMP files.  This is in a separate .ZIP file to 
  108.       avoid confusion.

  110.       I will continue to add ALT-FILEx.ZIP files as nifty suggestions
  111.       continue to come in.  You can never have too many points of view!

  114.       memory problems (mainly not enough memory to run WC!) using 
  115.       MANIFEST, TECHSUP.BAT and the QEMM INCLUDE= command.
